This is a pet registration service minus the micro chip! If your animal is already chipped, this will work in conjunction with the chip, not be a redundancy. If your dog or cat is lost on a weekend or after hours, the odds of them being scanned are slim. Also there is a chance that the chip may migrate from the scanning area and not be found at all.
